Chief Guest
H. Dundiraj, one of the leading writers of contemporary Kannada literature who has cultivated both poetry and prose, has published 70 works. Dundiraj, who is popularly known as the king of honey poems and the emperor of short stories, has composed more than 6500 honey poems and left his mark on the genre.Dundiraj, who is also a popular poet, has been honored by giving programs in America, England, Singapore, Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain. The Karnataka Nataka Academy’s Honorary Award, the All India Banuli Playwriting Competition’s Best Comedy Drama Award, the Karnataka Sahitya Academy’s Book Award, the Kadengodlu Poetry Award, the Muddan Poetry State Award, the U.A.E. Voice Foundation’s Chutuku Chakravarthy Award, and the Kannada Sahitya Parishad’s Manika Rao Memorial Comedy Literature Award are some of the major awards that Dundiraj has received.
Originally born in Hattikudru village of Kundapur taluk of Udupi district, Dundiraj holds an M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Science. He has settled in Bangalore after serving in Corporation Bank for 36 years and retiring as A.G.M.
