The much-awaited annual Vasanthotsava—our celebration of music, food, and community spirit—was held on March 26th at Namma Vana, and what a delightful evening it turned out to be!

In the days leading up to the event, there was some concern about the forecast of evening showers. Thankfully, the rain stayed away, and we were instead treated to a pleasantly cool and enjoyable atmosphere—perfect for an outdoor gathering.

The festivities kicked off early as food stalls sprang to life and preparations gathered momentum. Soon, the air was filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly prepared delights. Residents were spoilt for choice with a wide variety of offerings—fresh produce, organic and homemade specialties, steaming cups of coffee and tea, dosas and rotis, rolls, cakes, nachos, and so much more. It truly was a feast for both the senses and the soul!

At the heart of the celebration was the main stage, where Roopashree and Badrinath hosted a lively karaoke session. The event saw enthusiastic participation from residents of all ages. Many talented and trained singers mesmerized the audience with their melodious renditions, taking everyone on a nostalgic musical journey.

Equally inspiring was the courage of first-time performers—many stepping onto the stage and singing their hearts out, some for the very first time. The audience played a huge role in making the experience special, cheering on every participant and creating an atmosphere of warmth and encouragement.

A big thank you to all the participants, stall owners, and residents who came together to make this evening so memorable. Your energy and involvement truly brought Vasanthotsava to life! Finally, a special thanks to our Treasurer Mr. Sridhar Tantry who organized the event and also spent countless hours with the singers on his karaoke system for practice.

Until next time—here’s to many more celebrations together!
