NRRWA celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava 2025 in a grand and culturally vibrant manner at Nammavana on 23rd November. The festivities began at 5:00 PM with a soulful rendition of the Kannada Naadageethe by Shri Sridhar Tantri and team, setting a patriotic and joyful tone for the evening.
🎙 Chief Guest Address
We were honoured to welcome the renowned humor poet and “Chutuku Samrat” or “Emperor of Short Poetry,” Shri Dhundiraj Bhat, as the Chief Guest.
After offering floral tributes to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari, he was introduced by Shri Somayaji and invited to address the gathering.
Shri Dhundiraj Bhat delivered a highly engaging and humorous one-hour talk, highlighting:
- The importance of humor in daily life
- Its charm and emotional benefits
- How laughter brings people together
His witty storytelling filled the audience with joy and laughter, bringing vibrant energy to Nammavana.

A series of cultural competitions were organized by NRRWA, including:

Winners were presented with certificates and prizes by Shri Dhundiraj Bhat.
Smt. Vani B.R. was specially honored as the recipient of the 2025 Kannada Rajyotsava Award for her contributions.
Special Performances
Winners of the singing competition showcased their talent, with melodious Kannada songs that enhanced the cultural atmosphere of the evening.
👥 Community Participation
The NRRWA President addressed the residents, encouraging greater participation in future association activities and emphasizing the importance of community bonding and cultural celebration.
Later, about 30 residents entertained the audience with:
- Popular Kannada songs
- Folk songs
- Performances of Bhavageethe and compositions by Jnanpith award-winning poets
🙏 Vote of Thanks
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Shivashankar. Smt. Raksha Prabhu compered the event gracefully and kept the audience engaged throughout.
